Norway to be the scene of the Fox Crime

Fox International Channels (FIC) is launching the Fox Crime channel in the Norwegian market. The station will go live on March 21 from the Levira playout facility in Tallinn, Estonia.

The creation of the new Norwegian version of the crime entertainment channel has taken just 90 days from its inception and utilised staff from FIC in nine different countries. It is the first channel to be created for the Nordic region by the group since the appointment of Åse Ytreland as the new MD for Nordic and Baltic regions last April.

Valuable terrestrial distribution has been secured on the terrestrial platform RiksTV and Fox Crime has obtained the Norwegian rights to zombie-drama The Walking Dead.

Levira has been working with FIC since 2009. It is providing FIC full play-out service including ingest, QC, scheduling, play-out, monitoring, archiving and delivery of ready to broadcast signal to networks in Norway.

Currently 18 channels are aired from Levira’s facilities and distributed to the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, Benelux and sub-Saharan Africa.
