The Polish cable operator Aster plans to invest around PLN100 million (€24.39 million) this year, according to its VP Joanna Pasynkiewicz.
Quoted in Wirtualne Media, she added that most of the funds would be allocated to securing more subscribers, with the acquisition of telco operators possibly on the agenda.
Aster is a quad play company and currently operates in only three locations – Warsaw, Kraków and Zielona Góra. It had revenues of PLN420 million and posted a profit of PLN3 million in 2009.
Aster has recently been mentioned as a possible take-over target for UPC, Vectra and Multimedia Polska, Poland’s three largest cable operators.
