EPG specialist Mirada has worked with the Kudelski-owned SmarDTV to port the Nagra Media Guide onto a CI Plus module. It means that operators offering CI Plus modules for customers to use with IDTVs can now create their own look and feel around the EPG.
With the module plugged into the TV set, the application developed by Mirada takes control of the navigation, giving the subscriber a regular operator interface. The enhanced EPG includes additional information on favourite TV programmes, as well as contextual recommendations, searches and purchasing options.
The CAM module has been tested on models from TV manufacturers including Sony, Samsung and Philips.
