Dutch report 4 million digital homes

With an average of 200,000 new digital homes added every quarter, The Netherlands now has reached the milestone of 4 million, representing a reach of 56%.
The figures have just been released by the Digital TV Expert Group.
By the end of the year, 83% of all households will have a flat screen TV. Furthermore, 69% of all Dutch homes will have an HD ready or Full HD television set.
The market research company GfK expects the total TV receiver market this year to reach 1.71 million, slightly down from last year.
For 2010, GfK predicts sales of around 1.8 million sets.
