ANGA Cable says it has already registered more than 200 exhibitors, in line with the record year 2008. Booth allocation will begin on January 16.
“Our exhibitors place confidence in us, even in the present general economic situation,” said ANGA´s MD Peter Charissé, in a statement, “They know about the special role of the cable and broadband industry that is less cyclical and characterised by long-term investment plans. The potential of the digitisation is not tapped for a long time yet.”
ANGA Cable will take place May 26-28 in Cologne (Germany). In 2008, there was a total of 369 exhibitors and 12,000 trade visitors. Forty six per cent of the visitors traveled to Cologne from abroad, coming from a total of 68 countries.
The “Strategy Summit“ on the first day of the event will be the discussion platform for the CEOs of all large German cable operators and the top representatives of the media and broadband industry. The keynote will be given by Matthias Kurth, president of the German Federal Network Agency.
The second day will start with the “International Broadband Summit“, which was successfully introduced in 2008. Top representatives from five countries will discuss the current developments in the triple play markets in Europe.
In total, seven events are planned in English. As in previous years, there will be a simultaneous translation German/English and vice versa for all events.
