Carmen Harabagiu is the Country Manager for HBO Romania, one of the core markets in the region where HBO CE currently provides the basic and premium pay-TV entertainment channels HBO, HBO Comedy, Cinemax, Cinemax 2, AXN, AXN Sci-Fi and AXN Crime.
Responsible for the organization and management of the operations in Romania, Carmen uses her proven experience in the media landscape to grow the business and identify new development opportunities in a fast-changing marketplace.
Hired in 1997 by HBO Romania as Programming and Acquisitions Manager, Carmen successfully continued in 2000 her career in Budapest, at HBO CE headquarters, as Head of Programme Planning and Channel Development for all CE territories; she took over the country manager position and returned to Romania in December 2005.
A graduate of University Politehnica of Bucharest, Carmen holds a MS degree in computers and automatic systems. In 2003, she also obtained a MBA diploma with the OU Business School (UK). Carmen currently resides in Bucharest, Romania.
