Eurosport’s broadcast of Roland Garros in Ultra HD will be available to Antik Telecom subscribers in Slovakia, marking its first foray in Eastern Europe.
Starting May 29, the channel called Eurosport 4K will be made available exclusively to Antik Telecom subscribers.

Lucie Bayer, Senior Commercial & Business Development Manager for Eurosport in Slovakia, said: “Eurosport has become a by-word for innovation, and our tennis coverage is no different – we are always looking to push the boundaries to make our coverage more compelling for tennis fans. We are happy that Slovakian fans will be able to experience the drama of Roland Garros in this way and also that we are bringing unparalleled added value to our business partner Antik Telecom.”
Vlastimil Lakatoš, Head of TV Services at Antik Telecom, added: “Eurosport’s move to ultra-high picture quality completely fits into our 4K roll-out plan backed by the 4K delivery platform developed by Antik which includes OTT streaming, 4K/HDR IPTV and hybrid DVB+IP set-top boxes.”
For Antik Telecom, Eurosport 4K is the fourth UHD channel in its line-up, all being delivered as part of the basic package. Antik Telecom started to provide UHD services in August 2017.
