The operator of the Czech-Slovak internet and satellite platform Skylink has given details of a new sports station.
Nova Sport 5 will start broadcasting on February 29, 2024 ahead of this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
The station will focus on motorsport and in particular Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy and Porsche Supercup races. Leading European football leagues – Bundesliga, LaLiga and Serie A – will also be carried.
Nova signed a multi-year contract for exclusive broadcasting rights from F1 starting in 2024.
O2 has also agreed to carry Nova Sport 5 and sister channel Nova Sport 6.
