Epic Cyprus selects Zattoo TV platform

November 3, 2023 13.20 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Epic Cyprus, one of the largest telecommunication providers in the country, will migrate its existing TV service to Zattoo’s ecosystem.

The move underlines Zattoo’s international expansion and the owning Monaco Telecom/NJJ group’s ambition to become a multi service customer-centric provider, according to Zattoo. Epic Cyprus’ customers will be able to access the company’s offering via Android Mobile, iOS, Android TV and web.

Using the Zattoo TV platform, Epic Cyprus will give its subscribers the opportunity to migrate to the new service within 2024. Epic Cyprus will offer a set of white label apps under its own brand in a multi-device environment in which Zattoo will not only host and manage the new TV service, but also make it available on mobile, web, and a customer-branded Android TV for operators set-top box.

In addition to offering more choice at better value for customers, the new TV service will include add-on features such as replay, seven-day catch-up, up to 100 hours of recording at no extra cost, and HD streaming. The service also comes with a user interface grouping channels in categories, enabling fast content search.

“Our collaboration with Epic Cyprus expands our TV-as-a-Service business across Europe with local operators and internet service providers that see the strategic growth potential in a TV offering,” said Jörg Meyer, Chief Commercial Officer at Zattoo. “We are particularly happy to welcome Epic Cyprus as already the fifth member of the Monaco Telecom/NJJ Group on our TV platform.”
