The Czech operator Telly has entered into a strategic partnership with Nordic Telecom in the field of internet and TV services.
Starting on August 1, all fixed internet connection services of Telly internet customers will be transferred to Nordic Telecom. At the same time, Nordic Telecom will expand its internet TV offer with packages from Telly.
Nordic Telecom is a Czech internet provider with more than 100,000 customers. Like Telly, it provides internet connections via DSL and optical networks under the CETIN infrastructure. But at the same time, it is expanding these s with its own optical networks and high-speed internet over the air in the licensed 3.7 GHz band and intended for 5G networks.
Telly traces its roots back to Digi TV, which was launched in 2006 and was originally owned by Romania’s Digi (RCS&RDS). It was acquired by the Czech Republic’s Lama Energy Group in 2015 and subsequently rebranded Telly.
