New milestone for streamer Voyo

April 26, 2023 08.27 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Voyo has surpassed half a million paying subscribers and is now the most popular streaming service in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Commenting on the milestone, TV Nova’s CEO Daniel Grunt said: “Voyo is the largest local SVOD service in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is also one of the most sought after and popular streaming services in both countries, on par with global players. I consider it a success that Voyo, which we relaunched in early 2021, already has half a million paying users. This number does not include free trials”.

Grunt added: “Thanks to everyone involved in Voyo’s success, and especially to our viewers, who are growing every day. Thanks to their subscription, we are able to create more and more interesting content for them. It confirms to us that we are on the right path, and at the same time it is a commitment for us not to let up on the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves”.

The key pillar of Voyo’s offer is local content, not only Czech films and series but also original formats under the Voyo Original brand.

Lucie Oravcikova, digital director CZ/SK, added: “We are betting on stories that the Czech viewer knows, top creators and a user-friendly environment. Voyo has now crossed the big milestone of half a million subscribers. On average, they spend more than 12 hours a week on Voyo. During this year, we are preparing a large number of new functions and product improvements”.

In addition to formats under the Voyo Original brand and a wide range of foreign and domestic films and series, Voyo subscribers also have access to live broadcasts of TV Nova channels, including Nova Sport 1 and Nova Sport 2, and TV Markiza. On Voyo, viewers can find over 700 Czech films, which is the largest offer on the market, as well as over 2,000 titles and over 17,000 hours of entertainment.
