Sergiu Gaibu has been appointed the new director of the Moldovan regulator ANRCETI.
He was chosen during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and will lead the body for a period of four years.
In a statement, ANRCETI says that during a meeting with its employees, the Moldovan PM Dorin Recean wished the new director much success in his professional activity, noting that his vast experience and professionalism will contribute to strengthening the institution and increasing the productivity of the electronic communications sector, a complex and important field for the country’s economy.
It adds that in reply, Sergiu Gaibu thanked the PM for the trust given, emphasising that he will rely a lot on the support of the government team and the ANRCETI collective in exercising his duties in the new position. He also stated that he will actively collaborate with all the players on the market and, together with the team, will make every effort for the institution to contribute to the complex process of alignment with the standards of the European Union.
