Over four-fifths (83.1%) of all broadband lines in Spain at the end of 2022 were fibre.
Furthermore, according to data published by the regulator CNMC, of the 16.9 million fixed broadband connections in the country, the overwhelming majority (15.7 million, or 0.9 million than a year earlier) had a contracted speed of 30 Mbps or higher. Furthermore, of these 15.7 million lines, 99.4% has a contracted speed of 100 Mbps or more.
As of December 2022, 74.4% of fixed broadband lines belonged to Movistar, Orange and Vodafone, 3.4 pp less than a year earlier.
CNMC also says that as end of last year 73.4 million of the accesses installed were FTTH. This was 7.5 million more than in December 2021.
