The Diia app, working jointly with Megogo, has added CNN International to its offer.
Commenting on the development, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s vice PM and minister of digital transformation, said; “Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Diia.TV has become a convenient and effective service used by hundreds of thousands of people every day. Thanks to Diia.TV, Ukrainians have free access to news right in their smartphones. From now on international news will be also available in the app, just like the Ukrainian news. CNN International, the world’s leading media, was the first one to be added. Over time, we will add other international channels so that Ukrainians always have access to trusted global news”.
Ekaterina Mihajlovic, distribution & business development director NEE & Turkey at Warner Bros. Discovery, added: “We, at Warner Bros. Discovery, are happy to assure one more option to the Ukrainian people to have access to CNN International in a fast and accessible way – to watch it in Dila TV inside Diia app. This project couldn’t be implemented without the help of our partner MEGOGO and reflects the great partnership and agreements between our two companies and the Ministry of Digital Transformation”.
Fedir Drozdovsky, managing partner of Megogo, said: “Today, the whole civilised world admires the innovative projects of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine! Therefore, it is a great responsibility and honour for Megogo to be a partner of the media component of the product, to relentlessly develop Diia.TV and involve our international partners in cooperation”.
The DiIa.TV service was launched in the Diia app in March last year. At first, there were only news channels available, but within time the list of TV channels was expanded, adding content for children, entertainment, and informational programmes.
