DAZN Group has confirmed the completion of its acquisition of the ELEVEN Group businesses and US-headquartered social media creative agency Team Whistle.
DAZN says the acquisition will allow it to combine access to premium rights with a range of other products and services, including gaming, e-commerce and social experiences.
DAZN will now add Belgium, Portugal and Taiwan to its countries of operation – it already offers local sports content in Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Canada, the United States and UK.
Belgium includes the domestic football league (Jupiler Pro League) as well as other international content. Portugal holds key international football rights, such as the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League, and Taiwan has local baseball.
This acquisition is an important element for our continuing growth – acquiring top quality rights, expanding in new markets in Belgium, Portugal and Taiwan, and developing our social reach and engagement by bringing Team Whistle’s network and expertise to DAZN,” said Shay Segev, CEO, DAZN Group.
Dependent on territory, DAZN has rights to Bundesliga, English Premier League, JLeague, La Liga, Serie A, and the UEFA Champion’s League, in addition to the biggest sports from around the world – Formula 1, NFL, NBA, MotoGP and the UFC.
