Ralf Bartoleit has been appointed the new CEO of the Bulgarian broadcaster bTV, effective January 1, 2023.
Martin Svehlak will continue as bTV’s executive director responsible for news, digital, and online, while Lubos Jetmar will return to Prague, handing over all responsibilities in overseeing Bulgarian market operations to Dusan Svalek, COO of CME and current member of bTV supervisory board. Jetmar will work with Bartoleit and Svalek to ensure continuity and a smooth transition.
Bartoleit has over 20 years of senior management experience at ProSieben Sat.1 Media SE (ProSieben). In particular, he brings a wealth of digital experience from leadership positions at PlutoTV in Los Angeles, and maxdome and Joyn in Munich, some of ProSieben’s most significant digital projects.
Commenting on the appointment, Svalek aid: “I am very happy to welcome Ralf to bTV. His extensive background in international media and entertainment and most importantly his experience with innovation and digitalisation within our industry will best position him to accelerate our ambitious growth plans at bTV”.
