Ziggo Sport has acquired the exclusive media rights to the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.
Confirming local media speculation, Ziggo said the agreements cover three seasons from mid-2024 to mind 2027.
Jeroen Hoencamp, CEO of VodafoneZiggo, says the move is an important part of the company’s strategy: “VodafoneZiggo always wants to offer customers the best viewing experience and entertainment. For years, Ziggo Sport has been distinctive in the way we bring sport into all living rooms. International football – including UEFA club football – is simply part of this. And that makes the sports channel an indispensable link in our content strategy.”
All the matches involving Dutch clubs will be made available for free via the Ziggo Go app.
The amount paid for the rights package has not been disclosed.
