The Polish public broadcaster’s international channel TVP World can now be received as an FTA service in Austria.
According to TVP, it is being distributed terrestrially on MUX C and is available in Vienna and surrounding area, including Lower Austria and Burgenland.
Commenting on the development, TVP’s president Mateusz Matyszkowicz said: “TVP is constantly strengthening its position, also on foreign markets. I am very happy that our English-language TVP World channel, which is extremely important for TVP, is already available on terrestrial television in Lithuania, Estonia and Great Britain. We make every effort to ensure that the channel is as widely available to viewers as possible, as evidenced by the contract with the Austrian public broadcaster ORF. Our goal is to reach opinion-forming groups in the world who are looking for information about our region. In recent months, the eyes of international public opinion have been turning to Central Europe, and all indications are that this process will continue in the coming months. We want our own voice to be heard”.
