CommScope has reported its best quarter since the acquisition of ARRIS in February 2019.
The company reported Core net sales of $1.990 billion had delivered a Core adjusted EBITDA of $352.9 million. Its Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) division has contributed to the growth alongside Intelligent Cellular and Security Solutions (NICS), Outdoor Wireless Networks (OWN).
In a statement, CommScope said its performance had improved as the negative impacts of COVID-19 on the company had receded. However, the COVID hangover has created negative indirect consequences such as inflation, shortages in materials and components and increased logistic costs.
It’s particularly concerned about macroeconomic pressures in the United States.
CommScope is also experiencing a limited supply of memory devices, capacitors and silicon chips, which has increased costs and extended lead times.
In February, CommScope postponed plans to spin off its Home Networks business after a poor performance by the division in the second half of 2021.
