Poland’s National Media Council (RMN) has dismissed Jacek Kurski, the president of the public broadcaster TVP.
In his place, it has appointed Mateusz Matyszkowicz.
Commenting on his appointment, Matyszkowicz said: “A strong and stable public television is a great success of the current management board. My goal is to continue making right decisions for the company and to enrich and diversify TVP’s offer. For many years I have been associated with Polish Television and I know that its strength lies in people who perfectly understand its needs and challenges. That is why I believe that together we will manage to strengthen TVP’s position as a leader that sets trends on the TV market and to achieve the goals and challenges that lie ahead”.
Mateusz Matyszkowicz has been a member of TVP’s management board since 2019.
