Hrvatski Telekom reorganises management board

August 31, 2022 09.53 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Marijana Bacic has been appointed as a new management board member and chief operating officer business (COO Business) at Hrvatski Telekom (HT), effective September 1.

Bacic started her professional career in 2001 in HT as an expert in the data and IP services department, continuing her career in the controlling and planning department before becoming a key account manager for corporate customers. She was promoted to the position of director of the corporate sales department, and then the whole corporate sales sector. Since 2020 she held the role of VP for corporate customers and ICT.

Separately, Boris Drilo has been appointed a member of the management board and chief technical and information officer (CTIO) for another three-year term of office, commencing January 1, 2023 when his current mandate expires.

Drilo joined HT in 2012, coming from Ericsson Group, where he had spent 12 years at project and managerial functions related to the development of ICT solutions and application of new technologies in telecommunications networks and new technologies. In 2017 he was appointed management board member and CTIO. During his mandate HT has made numerous technological achievements, such as the launch of the first commercial 5G network and building the biggest fibre network in Croatia.

Commenting on the appointments, Kostas Nebis, president of the management board, said: “Marijana Bacic’s 20-year-long, impressive record with HT, with her delivering results in all the roles she held, speaks for itself. She possesses in-depth knowledge of our company, the telco and ICT industry and having played a significant role in the development of our innovative products and solutions that solve challenges for businesses of all sizes I’m sure that in her new role she will prove to be a valuable addition to HT’s Management Board, contributing to HT’s sustainable growth while at the same time supporting our customers to leverage digital capabilities and reach their goals. I’m also pleased with re-appointment as CTIO of Boris Drilo, who has with his team had an instrumental role in developing and transforming our network as well as setting new industry and technology standards, with us in HT having set our goals on continuing to strengthen our leadership position even further”.

As of September 1, the expanded management board of HT comprises of Kostas Nebis, CEO, Natasa Rapaic, in charge of residential customers, Boris Drilo, in charge of technical and information functions, Ivan Bartulovic, in charge of human resources, Matija Kovacevic in charge of finance and Marijana Bacic, in charge of business customers.
