Telenet’s ONE(Up) bundles are continuing to drive FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) customer growth in the Belgian market.
The Liberty Global operator added another 16,500 net adds in Q2, though “persistent lower market flux” saw smaller numbers of broadband internet and mobile postpaid additions of 300 and 8,100 respectively.
Churn remains at historically low levels.
Revenue of €1,291.6 million in H1 2022, was broadly flat compared to H1 2021 revenues.
Last week, the Flemish network signed an agreement with the system operator Fluvius to develop a broadband network with speeds of 10 Gbps. It will be developed with a mix of DOCSIS and fibre.
Following the June-July 2022 multi-band spectrum auctions, Telenet obtained frequencies in the 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1400 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 3500 MHz bands for the rollout of 5G services at a cost of €302 million to be paid upon finalization of the auction process.
