Asta-Net opts for CryptoGuard

July 1, 2022 11.12 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Polish operator Asta-Net has chosen the CryptoGuard multi-DRM solution to secure video content for its MeeVu IPTV platform.

Commenting on the development, Jakub Kucharzewski, board plenipotentiary for technology at Asta-Net and the main coordinator of the MeeVu project, said: “The positive relationship with CryptoGuard made this partner a natural choice for us. We were very keen on the flexibility and availability of video content on all devices. Cooperation with many operators interested in implementing MeeVu services and knowledge of the broadcasters’ market only confirmed our choice. CryptoGuard’s competence and rich portfolio was a guarantee of successful cooperation for us”.

Zbigniew Ryczek, CEO of Asta-Net, added:”Asta-NeT is developing before our eyes, the MeeVu platform is a great opportunity for the company. I am glad that during the implementation of such a key project, Asta-Net can count on cooperation with the best”.

Krzysztof Wieczorek, sales director CEE & CIS at CryptoGuard, said: “We are pleased to partner with Asta-Net and to further strengthen our presence in Poland. CryptoGuard multi-DRM will provide a highly secure and cost-effective content protection for MeeVu IPTV and OTT services. The multi-DRM solution can also be extended with CryptoGuard CAS for protecting linear TV content”.

Asta-Net provides internet, TV and telephony services and has a fibre-optic network covering over 110,000 households in the Greater Poland Voivodship.
