The Slovak incumbent has been targeted by a large-scale cyberattack that began on Sunday, June 26.
In a statement, it says that it has undertaken several analyses to evaluate the overall impact of the attack, and at the same time carried out a number of activities to restore several internal systems.
It adds: “Our highest priority is so that our customers can constantly use their services on our networks. Even in this situation, we make extra efforts to ensure that the services run in full mode, whether it is mobile flat rates, prepaid services, fixed internet or TV services.
At present, our internal IT systems are affected, without which our website or Telekom application do not work. Calls to our telephone lines are limited, whether to customer service or the technical helpdesk. Our stores are open, but currently operate only in limited mode until there is a gradual renewal of IT systems.
We are sorry that you cannot meet your requirements at the moment, our teams are fully deployed day and night. We expect the recovery of internal systems to take place gradually and we will keep you informed”.
Broadband TV News notes that as of late Monday morning, June 27 CET Slovak Telekom’s site had been restored.
