TV customers on Telia’s network in Norway can now access streaming service TV 2 Play at no extra cost.
It follows last autumn’s agreement between telco and broadcaster that also included TV 2’s linear channels and its sport offerings.
“We work continuously to strengthen the TV offer and are very happy to be able to offer the streaming service TV 2 Play with lots of exciting content to our customers,” says Pål Rune Kaalen, head of the private market in Telia Norway.
The agreement with TV 2 means that Telia’s customers have access to two different TV 2 Play packages. The advertising supported TV 2 Play Basis features exclusive content and a wide selection of movies, series, and entertainment. TV 2 Play Movies and Series removes the commercials and includes access to British streaming service Britbox.
“With TV 2 Play, viewers can choose for themselves what they want to see, and when they want to see it – whether it is Hamilton, Sommerhytta or Hjerteslag. For TV 2, it is crucial that the Norwegian content and journalism is highlighted and is easily accessible to viewers where they are,” says Sarah CJ Willand, communications director at TV 2.
Telia’s platform also includes Netflix, HBO Max, Viaplay and Paramount+.
