The future of the Czech pay-DTT platform Anténa+ will be decided by Canal+ within a month.
Quoting Jaromir Glisnik, a member of the M7 Group board of directors, Digital Rozhlas adds that although information about the closure of the service is just speculation, it is no longer accepting new subscribers.
Digital Rozhlas notes that although Antena+ has been struggling with low subscriber numbers for some time, its operator Skylink has never officially published a figure for its take-up.
Operating in Prague and Central Bohemia, the service was launched in late 2020 and expected to eventually become a national service. However, it has struggled to obtain frequencies from the Czech Telecom Office (CTU).
Anténa 1 is the first and to date only pay-DTT platform in the Czech Republic.
