Discovery has signed a new agreement with its long-term Lithuanian partner Balticum.
As a result, starting from this year Animal Planet HD, Discovery Channel HD, Discovery Science HD, Eurosport 1 HD, Eurosport 2 HD, and TLC will be available in Balticum’s basic package and subscribers to the extended basic package will also be able to watch DTX HD and Discovery Investigation ID.
Commenting on the development, Slavena Dimova, distribution manager NEE at Discovery, said: “Discovery and Balticum have a partnership that celebrates almost a decade of working together, and we are happy to renew our agreement and offer even better experience for Balticum’s viewers by providing the majority of our channels in HD quality. Balticum subscribers in Lithuania will continue to enjoy the wide range of content that we cover in our Discovery portfolio, either if talking about the most expected sporting events, exciting reality shows, investigation, factual or lifestyle shows”.
Virginijus Jurgelevicius, director of administration at Balticum, added: “We are always looking for a quality and valuable content. But more importantly, we want it to appeal to our consumers. We are delighted to have this long-term and stable partnership with Discovery, which brings our customers content that is desirable and valuable”.
