The Slovenian media house Pro Plus, which operates the country’s two leading commercial channels Pop TV and Kanal A, has fallen victim to a cyberattack.
In a statement, it said: “We are focusing all our efforts on resolving the situation and broadcasting our television channels and websites as smoothly as possible. Due to the limitations faced by the intrusion into the computer system, you can watch us online today (Tuesday, February 8) and on television in a truncated form, while the evening show 24UR is cancelled”.
Pro Plus added: “We are doing everything in our power to provide you, as we have for 27 years, with credible and relevant information”.
Pro Plus is one of a group of broadcasters in Central and Eastern Europe formerly owned by CME and now controlled by the Czech Republic’s PPF Group.
