Telenor Bulgaria, which is part of PPF Group, will officially change its name to Yettel on March 1.
This will be following the expiry of its licence to use the name of the Norwegian telco.
Broadband TV News understands that this is part of a wider rebrand that also includes Telenor in Hungary and Serbia, though unlike the Bulgarian operation they have not yet made official announcements. Nor indeed has PPF Group itself.
Telenor sold its assets to PPF Group in 2018 in a deal worth €2.8 billion on an enterprise value basis.
