Over two thirds (69.7%) of homes in Poland now receive their TV services via cable or satellite.
This, according to figures produced by Nielsen Media and published by press.pl, is equivalent to 9.87 million homes and is up from 9.2 million (64.7%) in January 2021.
Although the number of DTH homes actually fell in the past year, from 5.19 million to 5.11 million, or 36.5% to 35.8% of the total, the number of cable homes rose from 4.01 million (28.2%) to 4.76 million (33.4%).
Meanwhile, the number of terrestrial TV-only homes fell from 5.03 million (35.3%) to 4.41 million (30.9%).
The total number of TV homes in Poland stood at 14.28 million as of the beginning of 2022, or 0.4% more than a year earlier.
