German music channel Volksmusik.TV can significantly expand its reach through a framework agreement with cable operator association Deutsche Netzmarketing GmbH (DNMG).
The five-year contract with parent company Deutsches Musik Fernsehen enables the distribution of the channel via cable and IP through the more than 200 cable operators organised in DNMG. The network operators guarantee uncomplicated reception of the free-TV channel for all customers and viewers.
“By cooperating with DNMG, we are able to achieve country-wide distribution on German cable and to work directly with up to 200 network operators with just one framework agreement. We are looking forward to soon reaching as many households as possible throughout Germany with Volksmusik.TV,” said Marko Wünsch, Managing Director of Deutsches Musik Fernsehen.
Damian Lohmann, Senior Manager Partner Relations at DNMG, added: “We are very pleased to be able to offer our network operators Volksmusik.TV, a music channel that addresses a target group that has been mostly unserved so far, but which is growing steadily. This will allow our network operators to broaden their channel portfolio even more and from now on also bring stars, starlets and legends of traditional German folk music to their customers.”
