Belgian media regulator CSA has taken over the presidency of the Association of European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services (ERGA).
The CSA will be represented by its President Karim Ibourki, who takes over from Tobias Schmid of the DLM, who has held the presidency for the last two years.
The organisation is currently studying the new Digital Services Act and the European Media Freedom Act.
The group brings together national regulators from the Member States and its main tasks are to provide technical expertise to the Commission, in particular on the implementation of the AVMS Directive and issues related to audiovisual media services, and to share best practices and experiences in the application of the Directive.
Italian regulator Agcom will hold the vice presidency.
