Vodafone lost 75,000 TV customers in Germany in the quarter ending June 30.
While it also lost 4,000 in Spain, it gained 4,000 in Italy, 15.000 in Portugal and 38,000 in other European markets.
All told, it lost 22,000 in Europe, excluding VodafoneZiggo in the Netherlands, in the quarter.
Again excluding VodafoneZiggo, its TV subscriber total at the end of the quarter stood at 18,511,000, up from 18,308,000 in the corresponding period last year.
In its latest set of results, Vodafone notes that once VodafoneZiggo are taken into account, it had a total of 22.3 million European TV subs, up from 22.2 million a year earlier.
It also says it lost German TV subs due to reduced retail activity during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Vodafine had service revenues of €8,390 million in the quarter ending June 30 (Q1 FY22), or 3.1% more reported than a year earlier, with Germany accounting for €2,872 million (+1.1% reported).
Its total revenues were €11,101 million (+5.7% reported).
