Telia ended the first half with 949,000 TV subscribers in its home market Sweden.
This, according to the company in its latest set of results, was 5.3% more than in the same period last year. In Norway, the total grew by a more modest 0.4% to 477,000, while in Denmark it fell by 21.2% to 26,000. In the Baltics, the figure in Lithuania increased by 2% to 254,000 and fell by 1% in Estonia to 207,000.
Telia notes that its SVOD subscriptions increased by 24,000 in the second quarter. As of the end of June the number of SVOD TV subscriptions stood at 788,000, up 32.9% on a year earlier.
Telia’s net sales in H1 amounted to SEK43,691 million (€4,261 million), down 1.1% on the same period in 2020.
Adjusted EBITDA was SEK14,977 million and net income SEK9,078 million, compared to a loss of SEK883,000 a year earlier.
