Movistar launches blackpills in Spain

Movistar has become the first platform in Spain to offer its customers premium scripted content from blackpills.

Consisting of episodes of 15-20 minutes duration, it can be accessed on Google Play on Android smartphones, it costs €2.99, including VAT, to receive.

Commenting on the launch, Francisco Borja de Nicolás, director of Movistar’s non-convergent value proposal, said: “with this launch we are committed to a series viewing format in accordance with the needs of our clients. We have also wanted to be pioneers in the Spanish market hand in hand with blackpills as creators of this format that has shown very good results in other countries”.

Patrick Holzman, CEO of blackpills, added: “with this agreement we complete the deployment of our platform in Europe since all Movistar users now have access to premium international short series dubbed into Spanish directly on their mobile devices In this way, blackpills confirms its status as a leader in premium series for mobile phones and is proud to support Movistar in this new stage of its development”.

Jacky Wauters, CEO of Noa Productions, the exclusive European distributor of blackpills, said: “We are very proud of the blackpills agreement with Telefónica. Both companies thus satisfy their needs to market one of the best Premium series on the market”.
