The Polish public broadcaster’s international channel TVP Polonia can once more be viewed in the US after an absence of 19 months.
It is being offered by Dish Network and the IPTV/OTT service Sling TV, with the latter also showing TVP Wilno, a channel aimed at the ethnic Polish community living in Lithuania.
The move follows a court case between TVP and the distribution company Spanski Enterprises, which, as previously reported by Broadband TV News, the public broadcaster won earlier this year. As a result, TVP Polonia has been available as a streaming service on www.polonia.tvp.pl throughout the Americas since February 17.
TVP Info, another TVP channel, has been available in the Americas on the TVP sites tvp.info, stream.tvp.pl, as well as smartphone and tablets (TVP INFO), and in the US on Dish Network and Sling.
