Canal+ Polska has increased its stake in the production and distribution company Kino Swiat by a further 16%.
As a result, it now owns 85% of the company, which has over 2,000 hours of cinema and TV films in its library. Canal+ Polska has been the majority owner of Kino Swiat since November 2019, when it acquired a 70% stake in the company from its previous owners Tomasz Karczewski and Marcin Piasecki.
Following the latest transaction, they hold a 14% stake in the company and remain board members. In a separate development, Canal+ Polska has renewed the rights it holds for the NBA for a further two years.
NBA games can be viewed on Canal+ online, as well as the proprietary services Canal+ Sport, Canal+ Sport 2, nSport+, Canal+ Family and Now.
