Musica per Roma Foundation selects Red Bee for concert livestreaming

July 13, 2021 10.17 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Musica per Roma Foundation is now livestreaming many of its concerts on AuditoriumPlus.com, a new streaming service delivered through Red Bee Media’s OTT platform.

Starting this summer, the concerts are made available to Italian audiences as pay-per-view events, livestreamed from the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome, Italy. Musica per Roma Foundation will continue to use AuditoriumPlus to stream a wide variety of cultural experiences and educational content, live and on-demand, to connected devices all over Italy. AuditoriumPlus is one of many streaming services delivered by Red Bee in 2021.

“With AuditoriumPlus, audiences all across Italy can now enjoy our fantastic summer line-up and future live concerts for a small sum, without having to join us physically,” says Daniele Pitteri, CEO, Musica per Roma Foundation. “Thanks to Red Bee, we are expanding our reach, and can provide the finest cultural experiences Italy has to offer, in broadcast-quality streams, to anyone with a connected device.”

Steve Nylund, CEO, Red Bee, added: “We have seen a clear surge in demand for live streaming and OTT services over the past year, and AuditoriumPlus is yet another great example of how live content can be monetised in more ways than one. We expect this trajectory to continue, even when the pandemic will eventually be over for good, and a hybrid model for live events is most likely here to stay.”

From this summer onward, concerts on AuditoriumPlus will be made available as pay-per-view livestreams for €6 per event, including performances from well-known Italian musicians such as Francesco Bianconi and Stefano Bollani. AuditoriumPlus also includes educational content in the form of master classes in literature, history, mathematics and other topics.
