The Italian DTH operator Tivùsat has launched an information campaign ahead of its transition to the DVB-S2 standard.
It began in Milan in the first weekend of this month and will continue in Genoa, from June 11-13 before ending in Naples on June 18-20.
The switch, which will allow viewers to watch FTA channels in HD, will be accompanied by the simultaneous shutdown of SD channels.
It will start in September and is due to be completed in 2022.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the transition to DVB_S2 was first announced in August 2020.
