The Russian state corporation Rostec is close to acquiring a controlling stake in Moscow-based Akado Holding.
Quoting a source close to one of the parties involved in the transaction, Kommersant reports that the 51% stake is currently owned by the entrepreneur Maxim Mayorts’ AVK Investments. It was bought from Renova Group, which still owns 49% of Akado Holding, in September 2020.
Akado Holding is valued at R17 billion (€188.8 million), taking into account its debts of R4 billion.
Akado Holding owns 100% of Komkor, which provides services under the Akado Telekom brand.
As of Q1 this year, it had, according to TMT Consulting, 790,000 pay-TV and 317,000 home internet customers.
