Roku’s expansion into content have helped the platform grow revenues by 79%.
The company that acquired the assets of short-form programmer Quibi has also licensed CYPHER, a new and relatively-unknown scripted series. On its premier on The Roku Channel in the United States and Canada CYPHER became the channel’s No. 1 show in its first weekend.
Roku generated record revenues of $574.2 million in the first quarter; delivering profit of $466.5 million, an increase of 101%.
