Austrian IPTV service provider Ocilion and German media group Your Family Entertainment (YFE) have agreed on a strategic partnership.
The aim is to create synergies for innovative solutions in the children’s sector, according to the companies.
In the first step, Ocilion will make high-quality and violence-free children’s and family programmes available on its IPTV platform to the network operators served by the company.
The Ocilion channel portfolio will be expanded by the children’s and family channels Fix & Foxi TV, RiC TV and RiC.today, including time-shifted viewing. Network operators will be able to sign up for the channels within the next few weeks and distribute them to their customers.
Furthermore, the two partners are evaluating possibilities of cooperation in order to complement each other in a synergetic way. Ocilion will contribute its expertise in IPTV, user navigation across multiple screens, video transmission and distribution technologies. YFE will contribute its expertise in the areas of content development and production, licencing and broadcast operations.
