The future of Dutch satellite service Joyne is uncertain after the company was declared bankrupt by the Noord-Nederland court.
Joyne launched its DTH service from Eutelsat 9B (9 degrees East) in September 2017; adding a Flemish package a year later.
It’s not clear who brought the action, though the satellite operator is likely to be the company’s largest creditor.
Joyne’s basic package, available from €22 per month featured all the major Dutch public, regional and commercial broadcasters; there were also premium options for ESPN (the former Fox Sports) and Ziggo Sport.
It competed with the Canal Digitaal and TV Vlaanderen brands.
