Up to 30 digital pay-TV channels can allegedly be watched free of charge on Vodafone’s network in Hungary.
According to Media1, the channels, along with at least 24 analogue ones, can be received by installing a simple signal splitter that can easily be bought.
It adds that the channels are available even if someone has cancelled the TV service and only has internet access.
Broadband TV News notes that this builds on Media1’s exposé a few days ago of a similar issue with both Digi’s and Magyar Telekom’s services.
Both Digi and Telekom have denied this is the case, while Vodafone responded to Media1 with the statement: “Vodafone Hungary makes every effort to ensure that its services operate at the highest level of service to the needs of its subscribers and in full compliance with the relevant regulations”.
