Vectra enriches OTT service

March 12, 2021 12.02 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Poland’s leading cable operator Vectra has announced an expansion to its TV Smart OTT service.

According to the company, it now includes TVN HD in its channel line-up. TV Smart combines linear TV with VOD apps and services and is unique in the Polish market. Available through an Android 4K set-top box, its programme offer ranges from 15-58 TV channels in three packages.

Commenting on TV Smart’s expansion, Tomasz Zuranski, president of the management board at Vectra, said: “TV Smart is a forward-looking, in my opinion the most modern and dynamically developing platform available on the Polish market. We are constantly working on the development of this service. We want to build a rich offer that will meet the contemporary needs of as many customers as possible. Our mission is to be able to give the client his private entertainment management centre and the greatest freedom of choice, in line with the slogan – “watch the way you like, what you want, where you want”. Therefore, the TV Smart service and the Smart 4K set-top box offered with it can be used not only at home, but also outside”.

Dorota Zurkowska, member of the management board of TVN Discovery Group, added: “I am very glad that by making the TVN HD channel available in the TV Smart Vectra service, we can contribute to the development of this operator’s online programming offer, and at the same time make it easier for viewers to access our most popular TV station. Recently, also due to the pandemic, we are witnessing extremely rapid and significant changes in viewers’ habits related to content consumption. They increasingly expect us to provide them with a variety of content via multiple platforms. By providing TVN HD in the TV Smart service, we meet these expectations”.
