TV3 launches sports channel

TV3 Group has launched a new channel named TV Sport Open.

Offering more than 3,000 hours of live broadcasts and about 1,500 sports events annually in HD, it will be distributed by leading TV operators in the Baltics and TV3 Group’s OTT platform Go3.

TV3 Sport Open will show selected games from the top competitions in the World – UEFA Champions and Europa Leagues, NBA, Euroleague Basketball, English Premier League and UFC among others. It will also offer exclusive sports content from leading sports organisations like World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), EuroCup Basketball competition, Formula E, Liga ACB, World Motocross Championship MXGP including the best Baltic riders, Speedway GP series and all the world’s biggest darts competitions in PDC Tour.

Commenting on the new channel, Jan Wykrytowicz, Pay-TV Baltics CEO of the TV3 Group, said: “We are constantly improving our sports offer and as part of our long-term sports strategy we’re excited to announce launch of the new, basic tier sports channel – TV3 Sport Open. It will bring selected best sport events to more casual viewer in the Baltics. Launching another channel under the TV3 Sport brand will also allow us to broadcast even more games of the best leagues in the World”.
