As part of the partnership, the leading Discovery channels, such as Discovery Channel, TLC, Eurosport 1 HD, Eurosport 2 HD and Animal Planet, have been launched on the oll.tv platform. The channels will also be broadcast on Xtra TV satellite.
Commenting on the development, Yulia Trybushna, head of the joint operator oll.tv and Xtra TV, MGU, said: “We are pleased to partner with Discovery for several reasons. First, our priority is to give viewers quality content that gives them emotions, entertains and develops. And Discovery channels are just such content. Discovery entertainment channels will be available to subscribers of all broad oll.tv packages: Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet channels are included in all oll inclusive packages, starting with the most affordable, which costs UAH109 per month. And for our sports fans, we will expand the choice of sports channels and give the opportunity to see all the iconic sporting events on Eurosport. And secondly, we value partnership very much and believe that in such a fleeting world, sustainable success is possible thanks to reliable, predictable partners. This is how we see Discovery Group”.
Kateryna Mykhailovych, director of distribution and business development Discovery NEE & Turkey, added: “We are pleased to announce the expansion of our partnership with MGU, thanks to which we can offer their subscribers a wide range of Discovery content, covering topics such as adventure, lifestyle and sports. Given all our recent developments in the local market, I can firmly say that Discovery has a long-term commitment to Ukraine, and we look forward to expanding our partnership here for the benefit of our viewers”.
