Starzplay added to Canal+ offer

January 28, 2021 16.44 Europe/London By Julian Clover

International streaming service Starzplay is coming to Canal+.

It will be available to all Canal+ Séries subscribers, along with ISPs, and for Canal+ subscribers that have signed up to the Ciné Series, Integrale and Integrale channels or packs at no extra cost.

“We are thrilled to broaden our CANAL+ offers with Starzplay, and provide an always more extensive and eclectic offer for our subscribers. By integrating Starzplay, Canal+ Group goes one further step in its ambition to aggregate the best content and apps of the market,” said Pascale Chabert, Head of Content Acquisitions – Key Account at Canal+ Group.

STARZ Original series including The Spanish Princess and the explosive second chapter in the
Power Universe, Power Book II: Ghost, starring Mary J. Blige, will be available on the same day they make their debut in the United States.

Also available is Stand based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King; 2020 Emmy-nominated series such as the modern romantic drama, Normal People, the Golden-Globe-nominated and thought-provoking millennial comedy Ramy from comedian Ramy Youssef, the genre-bending period dramedy The Great starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult.

“Partnering with Canal+, a marquee brand well known for its comprehensive offerings and exceptional service, to expand the Starzplay footprint in France will introduce new audiences to our vast library of compelling series and films,” said Superna Kalle, Executive Vice President, International Digital Networks for Starz. “We look forward to deepening our relationship with French viewers through this partnership and are confident they will gravitate toward our premium content.”

Since its launch in 2018, Starz has extended its footprint to 55 countries.
