Furthermore, the network will be expanded to reach 11 million people this year.
Commenting on the development, Jacek Felczykowski, member of the management board of Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel, operator of the Plus network, said: “A total of over 1,000 5G base stations is our little New Year’s gift for Polish residents. Last year, the 5G network was a technological novelty. In 2021, along with the dynamic development of 5G in Plus, this modern technology will become a commonly available standard. More than 7 million people in Poland are already within the 5G range of Plus and have the opportunity to use the most modern and fastest mobile internet”.
Plus is employing technology for its 5G network supplied by Nokia and Ericsson.
