Magyar Telekom’s board of directors has approved the extension of the company’s CEO Tibor Rékasi’s contract by a further three years.
He was appointed CEO as of July 2018 for a period of three years and now, well ahead of its expiry date, the extension has been granted until June 30, 2024.
Commenting on the extension, Dr. Robert Hauber, chairman of the board of directors, said: “Tibor Rékasi has been doing an outstanding job since he has taken over the CEO role of Magyar Telekom in 2018. He has led the company on a continuous growth path and further strengthened the company’s leading position in all market segments in Hungary”.
Rékasi joined the Telekom Group 12 years ago first as MD of IQSYS Zrt. and was CEO of T-Systems Hungary from 2013 to 2017, when he was appointed CCO residential services at Magyar Telekom. He held this position until he became CEO of the Magyar Telekom Group in July 2018.
